Small Business Lending Presented by Mr. Brett Barkley
Brett Barkley is a senior research analyst in the Community Development Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. Mr. Barkley conducts policy research on affordable housing, neighborhood stabilization, and equitable development.
Mr. Barkley will be presenting at Heidelberg School of Business on the state of small business lending in the Fourth District of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland. The Cleveland Reserve Bank conducts an annual small business credit survey and publishes an annual report on the status of small business credit lending. The Bank’s 2017 Small Business Credit Survey Report was published recently. Mr. Barkley has coauthored a working paper entitled, Is “Fintech” Good for Small Business Borrowers? Impacts on Firm Growth and Customer Satisfaction. His data analysis sheds new light on small business funding sources for entrepreneurial ventures in Seneca County and its surrounding areas.
