I am writing to ask your organization to welcome new Heidelberg University students to the Tiffin-Seneca community. Will you please host a group of students to serve your organization?

BergServe has become a traditional part of Welcome Days at Heidelberg's campus that encourages our new students to become engaged with each other in service for the community of Tiffin, Ohio. The purpose is to expose our students to organizations that may need further service during the year. In past years, a few hundred individuals have trimmed bushes, cleaned pews, visited with elder residents, planted vegetables, moved furniture, swept, raked, and so much more – all on their Saturday morning prior to classes starting for the semester. We will have 400 new students available to serve in the community on Saturday, August 18.    If our students are able to help you on this day, August 18, 2018 from 9:30 am to 12pm, please let us know by emailing Paul Sittason Stark at pstark@heidelberg.edu.  We ask that you give us the following information:   1.       Name, Cell Phone Number and Email of Site Supervisor the day of the Event 2.       Number of Students that you are willing to host 3.       Your commitment to provide any necessary tools and drinking water for all volunteers.    If you have any questions please call (419) 448-2066 or e-mail pstark@heidelberg.edu for the Director of Civic Engagement. All event material will be handled by Chaplain Paul Sittason Stark.
