Commodore Perry Federal Credit Union (CPFCU) is proud to announce its groundbreaking campaign, "Anchored Against Debt," in partnership with Undue Medical Debt. This initiative aims to alleviate the burden of medical debt for residents in Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Hancock, Wood, & Erie County. Leveraging every dollar donated to forgive $100 in medical debt, CPFCU invites the community to join this compassionate effort to bring financial relief to our neighbors in need.

In an era where medical costs have soared and insurance co-pays and deductibles have spiked, many find themselves in a relentless cycle of debt. "Anchored Against Debt" not only seeks to eradicate this financial strain but also to restore hope and well-being within our community. Through the support of Undue Medical Debt, a nonprofit organization known for its efficient and impactful debt relief process, CPFCU aims to make a substantial difference in the lives of thousands struggling with medical expenses.

How It Works:
Donations are strategically used to buy medical debt in bulk at a fraction of the original cost, meaning each dollar contributed eradicates approximately $100 of debt. This process specifically targets the debt of those most in need, ensuring that relief is directed where it is most impactful. For the recipients, this debt relief comes with no strings attached—freeing them from financial burden without any tax consequences or penalties.
